I am a secondary school teacher of philosophy and critical thinking. I am creating a cumulative series of curricula for grades 7 through 12. For more details of my work, click here.
I also hold a PhD in Philosophy. In my doctoral project, I argued that Aristotle's philosophy of mind solves contemporary mind/body problems, such as the problem of mental causation, better than its contemporary competitors. My examiners were Helen Steward and Anna Marmodoro and I was passed with only editorial and presentational corrections.
I also have research interests in philosophical theology, as well as ancient philosophy, philosophy of religion, ethics, metaphysics, and modern philosophy.
My hometown is Great Falls, Montana in the United States. When I am not busy with philosophy, I spend time with my wife and three sons.
Some of my other interests include reading generally. But lately, in particular, I read 18th and 19th century novels from pretty much anywhere in Europe. I also enjoy writing fictional stories, mixed martial arts, and video games.
